  • Triple Slash
  • Endless Arrows
  • Rapid Strikes
  • Mana Stars

Two new limited time events have been added!

The Masked Daru needs YOUR help in removing new threats from Mistmerrow, all while Mirage Isle is celebrating a new style of fishing event. Try your hand at one of these quests today, before they end on August 31 at 11:59 PM GMT (-7 PDT)!

Fish for Tokens on Mirage Isle

There are tokens out in those high seas, and they’re all floating by Mirage Isle! If you want to fish ‘em up, you’re gonna need a special rod for that work.

Stay logged in for 10 minutes and the Divine Clock will offer you a special fishing rod that you can use to catch these tokens on Mirage Isle! Be quick about it though, as the rod will only last for 30 minutes.

Catch 25 tokens to earn a reward crate which could hold Lunarite, Point Fragments, Merit Badges, Warrior’s Medals, or Mysterious Garden Powder. Rarely, the crate could even offer Regrade Charms, including Red and Superior Red, or a Full Kit: Tidal Bungalow. Remember: Full kits don’t require materials or labor to build; they’re immediately ready the moment you put it down!

Defeat new foes in Mistmerrow

The Masked Daru is back, and he needs YOU to help protect Mistmerrow from a new set of threats. Visit him at your faction’s base of operations in Marianople, Austera, or Growlgate to kick off two new hunt quests in Mistmerrow.

After Kadum falls or 30 minutes after he spawns at the end of a Mistmerrow battle, Red Dragon Hatchlings and Enraged Tuskbarks will appear in the area. Lend a hand in their defeat to complete these quests and earn Merit Badges, Honor, and a Brave Hero Token. Once you complete the quests once, you won’t be able to complete them again for another 2 hours, enabling you to complete these quests 3 times a day.

During the event you can exchange your Brave Hero Tokens with buffs from the Vibrant Greenman and Evergreen Yata, or you can save up your tokens to earn a Duun’s Blessing for your regrades or a Bound Serendipity Stone for a statistic reroll!

The Shadowguard Festival will be making an appearance on August 30th, so look for more information that festival coming soon!

Bugira’s Lost Treasures Fishing Event has been temporarily disabled

Greetings Adventurers!

Due to an issue found in today’s event, we will be temporarily disabling the Wrapped Treasure Fishing rod until further notice. In doing so, players will not be able to participate in the current event, Bugira’s Lost Treasures. We will be working closely with the team at XLGAMES to address this issue and get this limited time event up and running once more.

We apologize for this inconvenience, and we will update this announcement as we have new information to share.

Sincerely,
The ArcheAge Team

Sharpen your blades, the Blood in the Sand tournament is coming…

Sharpen your blades, the Blood in the Sand tournament is coming…

Do you think you can organize an elite team of warriors? Do you have what it takes to go toe-to-toe with the best ArcheAge fighters in the world? Find out by participating in our very FIRST set of regional PvP tournaments!

During September and October, get ready for Blood in the Sand to hit both our NA and EU regions. These fights won’t be your usual arena matches. Instead, get ready for an intense 10 vs. 10 brawl where only one team will be crowned the Erenor Champions for an entire year! Our top 3 teams will walk away with special tournament rewards to use on your home server!

Tournament sign-ups will begin on August 22! European matches will be played on September 17 & 24, while North American matches will be played on October 1 & 8. If you’re looking to create a team, here’s what you’ll need to know:

Tournament Format:

  • 8 teams will be accepted per region (NA & EU). All teams will be chosen by the ArcheAge staff – we’re looking for the best of the best in each region.
  • Matches will take place on the Event Test Server.
  • Teams will consist of 13 players: 10 combatants and 3 alternates.
  • First Round matches will be a Best of 3 series.
  • Semi-Finals and Finals will be a Best of 5 series.
  • Matches will be a maximum of 10 minutes.
  • A match will end when one team is entirely dead, or the match clock has expired. If time runs out, the team with the most members standing wins.
  • Players must remain in the bounds of the Arena during the fight.
  • Divine and Epic level gear will be provided, but the tournament will not use consumable items or resurrections. In this arena, there are no do-overs.

Team Requirements:

  • Teams must have 10 members and 3 alternates.
  • Each team must have a designated captain and co-captain.
  • Teams may be created with any player from any server in your region. They don’t have to be your guildmates or server neighbors to be recruited.
  • Team members will be classified into 4 archetypes based on their desired weapon: Melee, Magic, Healer, and Ranged.
    • No team may have 50% of their composition as one archetype.
    • Team members will be able to change classes during the tournament, but they will not be able to change out of their assigned archetype.
    • Team members will be assigned gear by Trion. Gear will be standardized based on archetype and all archetypes will have 2-4 pre-set gear choices. Gear cannot be upgraded or augmented and will be wiped between matches.
  • All team members must have active ArcheAge accounts in good standing.
  • Teams must submit a custom team name in their application along with a 3 letter Acronym. Team names must abide by the Code of Conduct.
  • Teams must include a team logo as a UCC in their application. UCCs must follow Code of Conduct rules and should represent your team name.

Of course, we don’t want to interrupt your forum-warrioring general discussion post with our match of champions. If you just want to spout words, buttercup, by all means, continue bashing those keys. But if you want to prove your skill to the world, then begin assembling your teams! Applications open on August 22 and will close on September 9!

Livestream Recap, August Update Edition: August 12, 2016

Livestream Recap, August Update Edition: August 12, 2016

Greetings Adventurers! Here’s a small recap of the topics we covered on today’s livestream!

The August Update is coming on August 17 – Next week we’re releasing the August Update and it’s going to contain two major new features: the highly-anticipated split event schedule and a public testing phase for the Skill Queue and Korean versions of skills. If you want a sneak peek of the patch notes, look no further than your local public test server.

For more information on how daily events will be changing in ArcheAge, make sure to read the new event schedule right here.

What’s this about the Skill Queue Public Test? – In order to really see how Skill Queue works, we need to test it in mass combat and with real players playing on real servers. We’ve been testing and working on the system for months, and we’ve done focused tests with players on the ETS server (thank you ETS testers!) but now it’s time for the system to visit the live servers.

We’ll be monitoring the system, and your feedback, closely, but we want to hear what all of you think of the new skill queue for at least a month. Next week, before the update, a thread will be opened to collect your thoughts and feedback on this new style of combat. We look forward to your thoughts and opinions after you get a chance to try it out.

For those of you who are unsure what Skill Queue and Korean versions of skills are, this new system will allow ArcheAge North America and Europe to behave more like its Korean counterpart in terms of combat. Currently, we’ve taken 4 skills and changed their functionality to improve battle for those with high ping times. They are Triple Slash, Rapid Strikes, Endless Arrows, and Mana Stars.

In our current version, a press of a key will unleash all three strikes of Triple Slash at once, or a flurry of Rapid Strikes, or a volley of Endless Arrows. In the new version, a single key press will result in only one action being performed – a single slash, a single arrow, etc. This will allow players to better weave skills together during combat, such as executing a heal between Triple Slash hits.

Skill Queue will allow players with higher pings to continue to fight on the same level as their lower ping counterparts. This way no one is at a greater disadvantage while in battle. The system will also dynamically speed up or speed down combat depending on who is involved and what their ping times are. After this update, you may notice some skills will fire more slowly when you are alone versus when you’re in a mass combat situation. That is the skill queue attempting to adjust your combat speed to match the others in combat.

Again, we look forward to getting your feedback on this new system!

Two new limited time events! – Do you like fishing? Do you like killing gigantic monsters? If so, you’ll enjoy the two new limited time quests entering the game with the August Update! For more information on how to participate, check out the PTS Patch Notes.

What’s coming in the ArcheAge Anniversary Update and Player Q&A – We ended our livestream with a barrage of information that covered many major topics in the community. We talked about the September Update and some of the upcoming additions in that update, including the ability to wear underwear, sort your teleport book, set the way you auto-roll on loot received by a party, migrate your base statistics to further customize your character, increase the speed on submarines, add awesome weapon glows to regraded weapons, and more. You can hear the full list of features in the livestream.

We also answered a slew of questions from the community. To hear that list (it’s literally a constant barrage of information) definitely drop by the livestream.

That’s all for this week, Adventurers! We won’t be around next week as we’ll be traveling to Gamescom, but we’ll see you again in two weeks on August 26! If you missed the livestream, remember, you can always watch the replay live on Twitch or YouTube.
