Message from the Community Team

Dear ArcheAge players,

I would like to address what happened this weekend on Discord to you all. I have read your reactions in the forum. They are legitimate and understandable. I would like to tell you how we see things on our side.

We at gamigo want to be close to our players, we want to be approachable, here for you, and listen to you.

However, what happened this weekend was unacceptable. Chemy wanted to let you express your frustration and get to know you. Bonding is one thing, but we all agree that the CM should have exercised restraint, professionalism, and intelligence. It was never our intention to cause anyone distress.

We guarantee that her behavior is not representative of our company values nor of the quality of service we want to provide. Therefore, we took the necessary measures internally and Chemy is no longer CM for ArcheAge.

On behalf of the whole Community Team and gamigo, I sincerely apologize.

I hope you can forgive us this first bad impression.

Best regards,
Bonny
Lead Community Manager

5.0 Relics of Hiram Patch Notes

ArcheAge: Relics of Hiram Official Patch Notes

New Skillset: Malediction
The Malediction skillset is symbolized by Orchidna, the Demon Queen. Abyssal voices corrupting her mind unleashed a force of evil magic that she passes down to her devotees. These demonic powers allow them to exploit the weaknesses of their enemies and further enhance their abilities when stacking charges.

To increase the effectiveness of Serpent Glare, a new Sunglow Lunagem has been added:

  • Sunglow Lunagem: Serpent Glare – Increases the duration of Serpent Glare +6%
  • Splendid Sunglow Lunagem: Serpent Glare – Increases the duration of Serpent Glare +8%
  • Glorious Sunglow Lunagem: Serpent Glare – Increases the duration of Serpent Glare +10%

A Malediction specific instrument has also been added to the Arena Shop: Echoes of Malediction.

This flute increases the rank of Crashing Waves +1, and costs 1000 Kyrios Badges.

Abyssal Skills Removed
All Abyssal skills have been removed. Some of the Abyssal skills can be found in the new Malediction skilltree and some in each skilltree’s passives. Players that completed the Abyssal questline will receive 1 set of compensation, and 1 additional set of compensation for each Abyssal skilltree that was leveled to max, for a total of 11 possible sets of compensation.

Each set of compensation includes the following items: 30,000 Honor Points, 200 Kyrios Badges, 20 Abyssal Crystals.

The Abyssal questline has therefore also been removed, but Orchidna’s Journals can still be obtained, in the Queen’s Chamber in the Cinderstone Moore.

The title “Abyssal Adept” can still be obtained, but the title “Orchidna’s Disciple” is removed.

Ancestral Level 34
The Ancestral Level cap has been raised to 34.
Each Ancestral Level adds the following stats:

  • Accuracy +0.05% (+1.70% at Lv34)
  • Toughness +10 (+340 at Lv34)
  • Received Damage Reduction +0.1% (+3.4% at Lv34)
  • Resilience +20 (+680 at Lv34)

The amount of required experience per level is as follows:

Unlocking Ancestral Level 1 now only requires 1 Honorforged Medal, available on the Honor Shop for 2000 Honor. All levels after that require only experience to advance.

New Zone: Western Hiram Mountains
The Western Hiram Mountains has been added to the Auroria map, bordering Reedwind to the north.

This new zone has a Tropical, Subarctic and Arid climate and follows a 10min conflict period, followed by 50min of war and then cycling into 60min of peace. During war, the Loot and Gold Drop Rates are increased to 130%.

The Western Hiram Mountains feature a variety of new monsters, of which the majority are Ancestral Level 7. These monsters drop Ancestor’s Coinpurses and Ancestral Crates, as well as Radiant Hiram Awakening Scrolls, used to awaken your T3 Hiram Guardian Equipment. Included in their drop tables are also Mysterious Hiram Infusions, which can be identified using up to 50 Labor and can contain Hiram Infusions of grade Rare (300 XP), Arcane (400 XP) or Heroic (700 XP).

Also featured in this zone are new mining nodes called “Mysterious Mineral”, which can be mined to obtain Copper, Silver and Gold Ore, but also have a chance to drop the new Lunar and Solar Tempers, as well as Radiant Hiram Awakening Scrolls and Mysterious Hiram Infusions.

While adventuring in this zone, players can also gain temporary buffs from aiding Wounded Hiram Owls and Injured Owlinas, giving Serpent Abominations their final rest and destroying Cube Shards that omit an ominous energy. The buffs don’t stack and fall off, as soon as the player leaves the zone.

The following buffs can be gained:

A series of new achievements have also been added for this zone. Some of them rewarding a new title and title icon once completed.

The Agents of Andrion and Amarendra found in the Nuian and Haranyan faction headquarters offer a free teleport to the trail head in Reedwind. Pirates and Player Nation members can head straight over and record the 3 new teleport locations in their books, for convenient access later. Talking about Pirates – all 3 camp areas have an aura of protection, similar to the protection aura at Trade Outlets, that block PvP and therefore there’s no pesky Guards that try to attack you.

One last piece of advice: don’t venture too far north, or the bitter cold of the Millennium Blizzard will certainly freeze you to death.

Brilliant Hiram Guardian Equipment
The 3rd tier of Hiram gear has been added: the Brilliant Hiram Guardian equipment.

This tier of equipment sits between Ayanad and Erenor in terms of strength, and is obtain by awakening Divine Radiant Hiram Guardian equipment with Radiant Hiram Awakening Scrolls. These scrolls can be farmed from mobs in the Western Hiram Mountains, and gained as a reward for completing 3 newly added daily quests.

Each attempt to awaken your equipment requires 25 Radiant Hiram Awakening Scrolls, which provide a 10% base chance of success, and add an additional 5% chance of success for each failed attempt. Radiant Runescribe Quills, available for 600 Prestige on the Guild Shop, can be combined with 100 Radiant Hiram Awakening Scrolls to create 1 Blessed Hiram Awakening Scroll. Each attempt to awakening your equipment requires 1 Blessed Hiram Awakening Scroll, which provides a 25% base chance of success, and adds an additional 10% chance of success for each failed attempt.

Blessed Hiram Awakening Scrolls have the additional benefit of protecting your Tempering Points. Equipment with Tempering Points of +20 or higher, have a chance to lose up to 2 points on a successful awakening attempt, but using a Blessed Hiram Awakening Scroll, will preserve your full Tempering Points. Important to note, is that the Tempering Points will never drop below +20, in case of a loss due to using the regular Radiant Hiram Awakening Scrolls.

When awakening your T3 Hiram gear, your socketed Lunagems and Lunafrosts are preserved, and experience invested into the Divine tier carries over. Synthesis stats, applied image items and tempering points will be preserved and carry over as well.
Brilliant Hiram Guardian Equipment can be synthesized to grade Epic and starts out at grade Unique immediately after successfully awakening it.

Awakening World Boss Equipment
The recipes to upcraft the following items have been removed. Instead, World Boss specific Awakening Scrolls can be crafted at any Proven Warrior Workbench, and used to unlock the second tier.

[CM] iArches | Introduction!

Hello friends,

I am the other new Community Manager for Archeage, iArches! I am a state-side based Community Manager living on the East Coast, which means you guys will get a lot of interaction with me on NA. I remember playing Archeage during it’s release in 2014 but fell off shortly after due to life happen-stances. Finding myself 4 years later here is crazy awesome and an honor to say the least. However, I’ll be re-learning what I’ve forgotten and I hope you guys will have some patience with me while I re-learn the ropes of Archeage.

It’s so hard to pick out some fun facts about me, so here’s a few off the top of my head!:
I went to Culinary Arts school for a few years and majored in the baking arts, so anything sweet is my specialty. I own some land that’s now a part of a castle in Scotland, which I think is pretty cool. Me as well as my family play games in our spare time, I personally began playing games at the age of 4 and stared with a Nintendo 64!

I have been with a community manager for 2 years now, and have done volunteering with various games for approximately 6! Needless to say, I love the games and communities I work with and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I want to let you all know that I will work my hardest and dedicate as much time as I possibly can to make the community and the experience for you better. If you have any suggestions for the game or improvements we can make as a team or a community I’d be more than willing to hear what you have to say!

I look forward to building a relationship with you all personally and also as a community.

See you soon,
iArches

[CM] Chemy – Introduction

Hello there,

I am happy to present you one of your new Community Managers; me. (Surprise.) My native language is German, but for about 2 years now I have been dedicated to Community Management in German and English.

ArcheAge has already taken part of my life a few years ago as a private player and therefore I am happy to work for this game now. Nevertheless, it has slipped under my radar a bit during this time and I am now allowed to check out everything again or better said; "YIPPIEH I AM ALLOWED TO PLAY", therefore, I ask for your understanding, if I am unable to answer all of your game-related questions at the beginning. However, I will always do my best to find out the answer as soon as possible and let you know the result.

Well, the standard chat is done. Now to myself;

I am in my last year of my apprenticeship and since I was 8 years old I played all kinds of online games. Among them are heaps of MMO’s, MOBA’s and shooters.

You will notice that I am always there for you when you need something. I like to take some extra time to listen to your problems and hopefully find a solution. A relaxed relationship with you is important to me, I want to get to know you and you should have the opportunity to get to know me.

Important information: I am the "sledgehammer" of our team. This may sound a bit more serious than I wanted to, but it expresses my personality very well.
As long as you’re honest with me, we’ll get along well together. Have you screwed up? Tell me and stand by it. If you don’t tell me and I find it out myself?…¯_(ツ)_/¯ let’s just say that doesn’t end so well.

I’m hard, but fair – and I’m enthusiastic about all nonsense.

Introduction event;

Since I don’t know the game enough to offer you a suitable "get to know you event" in the game, I thought we’d start something that you’ve certainly never had before.
As I said before; I want to get to know you and that includes your vocabulary. 😉

Among other things, I think you’ve accumulated a lot of anger and frustration lately, many things have happened, and you’ve been left in the dark for far too long.

I want to give you the opportunity to really take this out on me, so that we can work together in peace afterwards.

So about the event: On this discord server (<– click me) you may throw your worst insults on my head, which you have in Petto. So really the worst of the worst. Puking your guts out, making me responsible for everything that’s happened. Everything is my fault – put your frustration into words.

The text that has the harshest criticism and makes me think "hey, keep calm buddy" – is the winner and may publicly call themself "King / Queen of Insults".

There is only one rule: Your text must be directed against me and no one else.

Clarification: The Discord Server itself will be deleted after 7 days, so it only exists for this event. It is not a Discord Server for support requests or any other communication.

That’s all.

I’m looking forward to it,
Chemy.

Meet the new Community team!

Greetings,

First of all, we would like to apologize for the silence lately, there were a few things we needed to figure out before jumping into the conversation. Thank you all so much for your patience!
Of course, we know that you all have concerns and many questions. We have been silent, but we have been doing a lot of reading during this transition. Let’s start with responses for a couple of your biggest questions and concerns.

What will the future look like for the games?

We saw many questions asking about the future of these games. Those questions are largely about new content, fixes to existing bugs, and the changes to the Trion staff members. For sure we kept the necessary resources to ensure that there is movement within and around the games.
Generally speaking, we can tell you that the patch schedule is likely to shift somewhat, but we will make sure that all of you can enjoy new content on a regular basis. Also, the developers will continue providing you with updates through Producer letters, so all of you will have a little look behind the scenes as well.

Patron Status & Creator Programs

Patron Status will stay in place and we do not intend to shut it down. However, we are putting the Creator Program on hold for the time being. Effectively managing a program of that size was a huge task and we want to be sure that if we launch the program again down the road it will be a great experience for everyone. Therefore, we will revisit this in the weeks ahead and keep all of you updated on our progress. Thank you for your understanding.

New languages available soon to support you!

Something we’re thrilled to announce is that in the coming weeks we are going to implement German and French Customer Support and Community Management. You can contact all of us in English, of course, but we believe that giving you the possibility to express yourselves in your native language is always better. On the same note, we do not rule out adding additional languages down the road.

Some more surprises are coming, but we don’t want to spoil those quite yet! We still want to give you a small hint: communication, support and entertainment are our three main concerns and you can count on some changes and improvements in this direction.

We are all gamers and we understand how important transparency and open-mindedness are, so please feel free to raise your concerns and suggestions, we will do our best to make this community stronger than ever!

Long story short: we are happy to be here and if you have any question, feel free to post them as a comment to this thread. Each Community Manager is going to introduce himself/herself on Monday personally.

Looking forward to meeting you all!
Your ArcheAge Community Team
